on behalf of Mediterranean Forum I would like to extend a warm welcome and invite you to the 7th Mediterranean Congress of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine in Portorose from 18 – 21 September 2008.

Collaboration of Mediterranean countries has become increasingly important as well as interesting from the professional, social and historical point of view.

Slovenia assisted the initiators from Israel at the first conference in Herzlia (1996), followed by Valencia (1998), Athens (2000), Syracuse (2002), Antalya (2004) and Vilamoura (2006).

Now we are sure that Portorose at the most north of Mediterranean Sea will inspire you with its character, cuisine and sailing opportunities. We shall do our best to match scientific level achieved by the previous conferences.

Therefore, there are many reasons to join us in Portorose.

Dear colleagues, ladies and gentlemen !

It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 7th Mediterranean congress of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, organised by the Slovenian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and kindly supported by the Republic of Slovenia Institute for Rehabilitation.

Nevertheless Slovenia is one of smallest mediterranean countries, the tradition of PRM in Slovenia is long and rich. Slovenian spas offered healing with natural factors for variety of diseases for centuries and the knowledge gathered that way, was used to establish top rehabilitation medicine interventions and institutions, with Institute for Rehabilitation in Ljubljana as one of leading institutions in the region.

The congress programm will cover a broad spectrum of rehabilitation medicine topics and we are excited to host some of the most distinguish experts in rehabilitation medicine. Not only that, but excellent congress venue and period of late summer with relaxing influence of adriatic spirit, guarantee you most pleasant staying in Portorož.
